The Rift Valley Explorer Safari

Your adventure begins at Lake Nakuru, one of the Great Rift Valley’s most iconic soda lakes. The mineral-rich waters attract thousands of pink flamingos, both greater and lesser species, creating a breathtaking scene. The surrounding area is a haven for bird lovers, with over 400 bird species including the Pink-backed Pelican and Grey-crested Helmet-shrike. You’ll also have a chance to spot up to 50 species of mammals, such as lions, leopards, buffalos, and giraffes in this rich ecosystem.

Next, travel to the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, known for having the highest concentration of African wildlife. The rolling savannah plains stretch endlessly, offering unforgettable views and close encounters with the Big Five. Explore lush riverine forests, where leopards hide among massive African Olive and Walburgia trees, and visit the swamps that are home to various lion prides. The Mara River, the lifeline of the park, hosts large pods of hippos and the formidable Nile crocodile. Every evening ends with a magical sunset over the plains truly a highlight of the journey.

From Masai Mara, you’ll head to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake nestled in the Great Rift Valley. Unlike the soda lakes, Naivasha’s waters support a wide variety of wildlife, including hippos and countless bird species. Here, you’ll enjoy a relaxing scenic boat ride, taking in the peaceful surroundings and enhancing your safari experience even further.

Your journey concludes in Nairobi, Kenya’s vibrant capital city. Here, you can choose for an optional visit to the Giraffe Centre to interact with endangered Rothschild giraffes, or the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where you can see orphaned baby elephants up close. For cultural immersion and souvenirs, explore the colorful Masai Market.
